To promote Taps bugler volunteerism among the civilian brass playing community, and to encourage music organizations to proactively connect with their communities to pay tribute to America's Military Heroes.

Total Points

The Total of all 3 categories

Registrations

- The number of organizations your corps has contacted to let them know that your corps wants to make itself available to provide a Live Taps bugler.
- The number of your members who have volunteered or are part of an organization of volunteers.

Community Performances

The number of Veterans oriented, community oriented, or patriotic performance of any kind.

Live Taps Perormances

The number of times any member of your corps has performed Taps for a US Veteran.

When Your Corps Reaches 10 points:

You will be considered an OperationTaps Member Unit , and you'll receive a .jpg that you can use as a link on your corps website:

Challenge Notes:

This project is based on the idea that, since drum corps brass players might not be getting asked to play Taps, we should drive the solution to Vets organizations, funeral directors, and our communities.
